This was one of those days where I hadn't already scheduled my daily assignment for my PE class. This meant that I had to get back early. When I checked my watch at mile 5, my already marginal pace was slowing down. This meant that I would have to generate artificial speed by interspersing some running. I ended up doing 9.41 miles in 2:17:14 for a 14:34 minute per mile pace with a 348 foot elevation gain and an average heart rate of 117 bpm at an overcast 38 degrees and 100 % humidity. It was a mostly pleasant experience. Still getting used to the new schedule. God is good!
