Adapt

In keeping up this fitness routine you have to learn how to adapt. My phone didn’t fully charge because of a bad connection. Also, I had to put clothes in the dryer. These might seem like little things , but when you are depending on every second in order to complete the workout .  Here are the stats— did the Medford, Niewood, Scenic Hills Loop doing 9.04 miles in 1:59:34 for a 13:13 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 346 feet with an average heartrate of 119 bpm at a temp of 39 degrees at 72 percent humidity.  I had a nice talk with my brother this morning.  Off to a busy day— God Bless!

Good Vibe

Everything seemed and went about the same as yesterday, but I feel a little more positive about the day than I did yesterday. I did the Scenic Hills, Niewood, Medford Loop again doing 9.03 in 2:01:50 for a 13:28 minute per mile pace with an average heartrate of 131 bpm with an elevation gain of 347 feet at a temperature of 29 degrees at 86 percent humidity. To the Grind

I’m back at work, but I am glad to be back at work. The break was a change of pace and served a purpose, but the work routine in many ways I find is easier.  I woke up at my usual time and did the Scenic Hills, Niewood, Medford Loop doing 9.01 in 2:01:08 for a 13:26 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 351 feet with an average heartrate of 118 bpm at a temperature of 41 degrees and 100 percent humidity.  Even though the initial part of the workout comes with many questions like- How are you going to get through the day getting up this early and going 9 miles? Every doibt and insecurity usually peeps it’s head in the early part of the workout. By the end the mood is usually positive with a feeling of accomplishment. This I know— God is good. Praise His name! Have a great day! Good to be home:)

Cooling Down

I had a very restful night’s sleep.  It was nice to wake up without worrying about disturbing or being interrupted by others for a day.  When I wake up here in Eastport it is just as if I never left. The streets seem to beckon me along me along on my route. I did the Adams Street, Dump Road, in Town  Loop along with some upa and downs along the new rode by the sewer plant. I finished by doing a little hill loop that Andy and I used to do for hill work and concluded along the tracks which took me back to The Motel East. I did 10.11 in 2:12:41 for a 13:07 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 754 feet with an average heartrate of 124 bpm at a temp of 23 degrees with humidity at 59 percent. I also did a little hike just under 2 miles at Shackford’s Head. It’s been a good day. I’m just blessed to be able to come back to this place that will always be close to my heart. God reigns!

Blessed

Yesterday was a day where I saw God working behind the scenes. Some bad things were used to provide a different direction.  There was some reconciliation.  It is my prayer that this good direction will continue.  This morning, although I was a bit tired— I knew that this was the last difficult workout of the week.  I did the Medford/ Randall Loop doing 8.87 miles in 2:02:53 for a 13:50 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 161 feet with an average pulse of 122 bpm at a temperature of 50 degrees and 97 percent humidity as the showers lightly sprinkled me along the workout.  This week was a week of exhaustion, cat naps, and persistence. I am blessed and look forward to the day at work and the week away from work and Lord willing a trip to Maine. Praise Jesus! I am pleased to have found the family talk radio station that has tremendous teaching from God’s Word.

No Sleep No Problem

I had a headache most of the day yesterday, and on top of that dealt with family problem after problem. In the midst of the family struggles I feel like I have failed both my wife and kids.  I fell asleep later even though I was exhausted.  When I woke up I noticed my watch had lost power because somehow it became disconnecting on the charger. Despite everything praise God that I will as able tonget the Scenic Hills, Niewood, Medford Loop in doing 8.84 in 2:01:43for a 13:45 with an elevation gain of 378 feet with an average heartrate of 118 bpm.  I felt a sense of accomplishment today with all rhings considered. Have a blessed day!

Consistency

In life I would say that I have no huge gift, but I am able to be consistent with the help of my Lord. There is no great workout, no great time, no heavy weight lifted— but there is a day in and day out consistency.  This morning I felt like going back and relaxing on the couch. I knew however that unless I get the work in there is no sense of achievements or accomplishment. So I trudged along through the early morning hours one foot in front of the other.  I did the Longwood Loop doing 9.2 in 1:56:14 for a 12:37 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 170 feet and an average heartrate of 125 bpm at a temperature of 33 degrees with 92 percent humidity. There was a time of showers and a little sleet. Have a very blessed day!

Things Could Have Gone Better

I didn’t get the best night’s sleep due to a late arriver. In our house every problem seems to be magnified if it occurs on our side of the ledger.  Despite the lack of sleep I ended up doing the figure 8 extra plus doing 8.87 in 2:00:09 for a13:32 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 188 feet with a resting heartrate of 115 bpm at a temp of 26 degrees at 56 percent relative humidity.  All said,
a good workout. I have Bible Study tonight at church. Have a blessed day all. God Bless!

Mild Monday

I woke up at my usual 3:55 am.  I have to say that considering the thoughts going through my mind I had a good night’s sleep.  I had a great time in Boston with my wife, but as usual issues always seem to break the feel good vibes.  I remember though that God never leaves my side.  This morning I did the Scenic Hills/Niewood, Medford Loop doing 9.06 in 2:01:59 for a 13:27 min per mile pace with an elevation gain of 307 feet with an average pulse of 123 bpm at a temperature of 53 degrees and 96 percent humidity.  Blessed to get abs and a set of benches and make it to work on time. God is good. Have a blessed day!

The Problem Solver

It’s seems as if I am constantly dealing with problems lately. I definitely make mistakes, but I know Jesus the problem solver.  I got to bed a bit later due to an unexpected trip to West Islip and back at 9:15, but I woke up refreshed enough to get a workout in.  I did the figure eight extra plus doing 8.69 miles in 1:58:53 for a 13:40 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 154 feet with an average heartrate of 127 bpm. With a temperature of 29 degrees with humidity at 65 percent.  I actually had a good pace , but I kept my watch runnimg when I had to stop for a “pit stop”. Glad to get the work in! God is good!

Feeling Positive

I was awakened by my watch alarm at 3:50.  I took a few sips from my insulated coffee cup and took a frw minutes to slowly wake up and get out of bed.  I got out the door in good season so I decided to do the Randall plus extra loop.  I didn’t bring my phone for my workout since the charging connection was bad and I had to put it back on the charger.  Here are the stats that I have for today- 9. 41 miles in 2:04 for a 13:10 minute per mile pace with an average heartrate of 115 bpm. The temp was around 26 degrees.  There’s not much traffic on this route and the terrain is relatively flat. Got
to work a couple minutes early— kimd of nice.  Looking forward to a weekend in Boston with my wife. Praying that the kids keep up their good behavior when I am God. Looking for opportunities to share the Good News— God Bless!

Day After Fog

I didn’t get the best night’s sleep after the Patriots loss. It was a good game, but it’s hard to lose. I was tired, but too awake to sleep so I managed to do the figure 8 extra plus doing 8.89 in 2:01:17 for a 13:38 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 158 feet with an average heartrate of 113 bpm with a temperature of 38 degrees with 95 percent humidity. There were a few slick spots on the road. I saw a rabbit on Raynor about a quarter mile from home. I had two nice hikes down at Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday and Saturday. Have a blessed day!
