I woke up a bit later , but was eager to conclude my weekly workouts. My plantar fasciitis was acting up a bit, but as I proceded my foot was ok. I notice a twinge but it is bearable. It was a bit humid feeling, but at least in the early morning hour it is tolerable. I fid 9.73 miles in 2:10:02 for a 13:21 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 139 feet with an average heartrate of 120 bpm. The temp was 67 degrees and 100 percent humidity. Taking my daughter and granddaughters to the Suffolk County farm Lord willing. Have a blessed weekend.

Rainy and Warm
The first three miles were uneventful. Average pace average feel, but then the rain came. At times it was a downpour and at other times it was a drizzle. Fortunately, I decided to do the Ridge Road Loop which is protected by trees in many places. Truthfully I was unmotivated, but I knew thst if I persevered I could complete the workout. I have tried to add a bit of distance to the summer workouts. This week has been kind of low key , but I have been able to get the workouts in. Char is busy preparing to speak this Sunday and has been doing her’s and mist of her father’s weight watchers. Have a blessed day!

My parents are coming down for the second time in 8 years and my inlaw John is arriving tonight. Kimberly’s mom is also coming down. A graduation party to boot. Let’s see what God is going to do!

Peace & Quiet
I decided to do the Ridge Loop today as I was feeling in need of solitude once again. The weather was warm but comfortable with a nice breeze. I saw my splits which indicated fatigue which of course means that I was due for a slow time. I decided to add 12 pick-ups which helped get me home in a more reasonable time. I did 9.17 in 2:02:01 for a 13:18 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 132 feet with an average heartrate of 111 bpm at a sunny 71 degrees. The pick-ups helped pull me out of the duldrums. Things are hectic here at this final 9 days of the school year. God Bless you!

Forever My Princess
In a way I am a king, I have 4 princesses
The each brought me so much joy the days they were born
Each little princess so unique and special in their own way
Yet, they were all the same in this— each one had a key to my heart
With a smile, a joke , or a famous line they entertained their dad
They would correct my mispeakings, laugh when I had food on my face, or if my pantleg was up
Though imperfect and struggling with their issues including a divorce that struck them all at such a young age
Their struggles and imperfections just made me love them more
At times it seemed as if they were trying to run away from my love
But little did they know that while you can run from love you cannot erase love
Love is a sacrifice that although spurned, cannot be earned , because love is freely given expecting nothing but hoping for everything
