I have been having a year of a lot of variety of schedule. My wife has been a great daughter taking care of her mother on a regular basis, and spending nights taking care of her mother when her dad leaves for vacation or other occasions. I am comfortable being alone, but spending so much time alone feels strange. This morning I did the Longwood Loop in reverse again doing 6.32 miles, doing the fab 40, and 3 x GP curls/presses. I hope to do goblet squats and a set of core trainer presses and rows. Hoping to do the lawn today. GoBurger day a day early. Looking forward to my nieces graduation at West Point. I like my trips with Charlotte. She is a tremendous companion and I am blessed to have her in my life!

A Different Direction
One thing that I have been doing for a while is not setting my route 100% before I head out the door. I was intending to do the Woodlot Loop and hills, but I decided to last minute do the Longwood Loop. As I got to the end of my street I decided to turn left and to do my rout in reverse for the first time. I went through this as if I had never been on this route before. I did 6.32 miles, the fab 40, 1 x weight bench press, 2 x GP bench presses, and 3 x farmers walk at school. Have a most blessed day!

Stay Within Your Boundaries
My workouts this year have been an adaptation between my knee replacement rehab and my former training. I go more times per week in my workouts, but my workouts are less. The enthusiasm to workout is better. I have more energy outside of my workouts, since I’m not so beat up and tired. I always attempt to pray during my walks. It’s easier for me to pray without distractions on my walk. Today I did 2 x Woodlot with a total of 6 times up Woodlot hill for 6.45 miles, the fabulous forty, 1 x core trainer presses/rows, and 2 x GP curls/presses. I hope to do goblet squats when I get home tonight. I am tired, but I am grateful that I do workouts that are attainable and meaningful. Have a blessed day!

Teetering But Going Forward
I’m tired and dealing with a tired partner. We’re both going forward, things just seem weird and off. I did 6.52 miles doing the Longwood Loop, the fab 40, 3 x GP bench presses and 1 x farmer walk. I am photo get two more farmer’s walks in plus 1 x weighted bench presses. I’m thinking a little negatively, but trying not to. One step at a time today. God bless you my friend. Just tired!

Faith/Self-Doubt
I woke up early thanks to our shade being open all night, in order to let the air in. I was not wanting to wake Charlotte up, so I stayed in bed until she woke up. Unfortunately, we got off on the wrong step and it’s still in a bad place. I pray that this day ends in a good place. I did 7.52 miles doing the Ridge w/3x Ryan Ave., and Woodlot and 7 x Woodlot Hill, the fab 40, goblet squats, and core trainer presses. Lord help me, thank you!!

Instinct
I have not needed quite as much sleep lately. Thankfully, I have been blessed to be able to stay on the move with a busy for me life. I went to bed a bit later, but fell immediately asleep. I woke up a bit before my alarm, took 5 sips of coffee, and lied resting. Just before my alarm was to go off I turned the alarm off. I then went into my morning routine. Things went fairly smoothly, but there was a hint of tiredness. I decided to do the Randall Loop with 2 x Ryan avenue for 6.8 miles, did the fabulous 40, 1 x weighted bench press, and 2 x GP bench presses. I will attempt to do 3 x around the gym farmers walk to replace the deadlift. Last night we had a good time of discussion at Bible Study. The Lord is definitely at work. Lord willing, I pick up Ryleigh tonight after youth group. As a grandparent it is a blessing to be able to be involved in your grandchild’s life. God bless you my friend!

Smooth
From the beginning, the day shaped up nicely. I just kind of started out on a productive note. I kept checking things off on my checklist that needed to be completed. This got me out in really good season and kept me a little ahead of schedule. I did the Longwood Loop doing 6.42 miles, the fab 40, and 3 x GP curls/presses. Beginning of a Long Day
I headed out in good season. I did the 2 x Woodlot with 3 Woodlot Hills each Loop for 6.34 m, the fab 40, 1weighted bench presses , 2 x GP bench presses, and 1 set of hex bar deadlifts. It’s nice to have Charlotte back home. My arthritic toe was sore at work today. Doing better now. Another short entry. Just recording my workout.

Little Improvements
I was a little concerned about soreness and fatigue. I switched up my insoles and sneakers and it is helping. This morning I did the Longwood loop for 6.49 miles, the fab 40, and 3 x GP curls/presses. I may do a set of core trainer presses/rows and a set of goblet squats when I get home. A lot of interruptions shortened the length of this entry. I look forward to the return of Char.

Better Day
I was able to switch out my foot supports back to my power step insoles. I prayed for wisdom and the Lord helped me. I believe that my Fulton insoles are too thick in the ball of my foot. My powerstep insoles worked very well today. I am also wearing my regular sneakers with heal pads that I had in another set of shoes. Fortunately, things fell into place without having to make more immediate purchases. I started doing the Longwood Loop , but Charlotte called me and said that she might need me to watch her mother as the nurse hadn’t shown up on time. I started back towards home, but I received a call that the nurse had showed up. I went down Woodlot and headed back up Ridge Toad for 7.01 miles, I did the fab 40, 3 x GP bench presses and most likely 1 x weighted bench presses. I am a bit tired and am fighting off some throat congestion. Have a blessed day friends!

Saturday Slog
I woke up a bit earlier than I figured, but I don’t sleep as well without Charlotte next to me. I took my meds, ate breakfast, and slowly made my way out to go for my walk. I did the Woodlot plus 7 x Woodlot hill and the Ridge loop with 3 x Ryan Avenue for 7.58 miles, I did 3 x Curls/Presses with GP. I may do more work later.Looking forward to seeing Charlotte tonight! Early Wake Up
I have been waking up earlier than usual. It’s the type of earlier that when I wake up, I’m not exactly fresh as a daisy. I woke up the second day alone, because Charlotte is taking care of her mother while her father is away on vacation. I did 2 x Woodlot with each lap doing 3 x Woodlot Hill for 6.49 miles, the fabulous 40, 3 x GP bench presses, and one set of hex bar deadlifts. I may attempt a set of weighted bench presses later. I also hope to mow the lawn. I am not 100%, but I am okay. This is GoBurger day. Yay! Blessed!

Late but Doing Fine
I have been just a bit slow this week due to fatigue. Thankfully, I am getting stuff done— I just can’t seem to get it done quickly. This morning I did the Longwood Loop doing 6.45 miles, the fabulous 40, and I did 3 x GP curls/presses. I may do a set of core trainer presses and a set of goblet squats. I will see how I feel. There was an accident today on the way to work that slowed me down. I was a bit late, but thankfully I haven’t had many of those days. In Jesus there is salvation and hope!

Easy Does It
I have hit the tired section of the school year. Even though I rest I don’t get rested and I wake up, but I am not as rested. Today I decided to do a bit easier workout doing 2 x Woodlot, doing the Woodlot Hill a total of 5 times for 6.33 miles, did the fabulous 40, and 3 x GP bench pro. I may do a set of weighted bench presses and a hex bar deadlift, or not. I will see how my energy is at the end of the day. I have Bible study tonight. Back to whack
I woke up early, but couldn’t sleep. I just laid there and rested. I went through the morning with a relaxed attitude, just because I lacked the juice necessary to really rock it. I did the Longwood 6.5 miler, the fab 40, and 3 x GP curls/presses. I hope to get a set of core trainer presses and goblet squats done later. I go from feeling pretty good to almost feeling sick. I definitely am on the weak side of things right now. Stomach is back and forth iffy. Just take it one day at a time. God bless!

I headed out this Monday morning knowing that I have a shortened work day as I have a podiatrist appointment today. I don’t like to take time off, but it’s nice to have a little change of routine. Not Quite Right
Today was a day that a lot of little issues came to a head and seemed like a big issue. I have been feeling on a different page than my wife. She has so much going on with her mother and the non-stop nature of her life. I also am just plain tired. My stomach has been feeling really uncomfortably gassy. All these things together had me feeling like giving up. I just didn’t even feel like trying to help anyone either. The only thing that I know is to keep going—-but sometimes it isn’t easy. I did 6.61 miles, did 3 x GP curls/presses. I may do core trainer presses, goblet squats, and the fabulous 40. We will see if I get it all in. I am still off in how I feel. Lord I need your help to feel better!-please!

Saturday Start
Charlotte was up early to go on a fun day trip with her friends. Once she stirs, I find that it’s just as easy to get up as to go back to sleep. I decided to do the Woodlot plus 7 x Woodlot hill, and Ridge with 3 x Ryan Avenue for 7.61 miles, the fab 40, hex bar deadlifts, 3 x GP bench presses, and 1 x weighted bench presses. May 1
I definitely have noticed the fatigue this week. In my younger days I would fight through the fatigue and keep doing the regular workouts. Now, I try to recognize my tiredness and back off a smudging. Today I did the 2 x Woodlot and 2 Woodlot hills each lap for 6.32 miles , the fab 40 , and 3 x GP curls/presses. I’m not sure if I will do a set of core trainer presses and goblet squats or not. My lower back has been sore this week. I have been trying to work around it. I have a doctor’s appointment at two today, so I am taking a half day medical. I have a podiatrist appointment Monday afternoon. I think the half days will help me stay as fresh as I can. I picked Ryleigh up from youth group at 9 last night. I am blessed as a grandparent to be able to be involved in my grandchildren’s lives. Those trips also help me stay young.
