Beautiful Cool Sunday Morning

I got out the door in good season as I intended to hike the Greenway trail. I knew that I would be taking Jace to meet him friend’s about 50 miles West of New York City after church. I did 7.43 miles in 1:59:52 for a 16:07 minute per mile pace with a 541 foot elevation gain with an average heart rate of 104 bpm at a temp of 33 degrees and 48 percent humidity. My wife and I ate in Cold Spring on the Hudson River. Now we are about to cross the Throgs Neck onto Long Island. Looking forward to this week!

Looping Around Woodlot

I did a repeat of last Friday’s workout doing 3x the Woodlot Loop. I increased the pace on the usual .3 mile hill run portion of the loop. It was mild, windy, and very dark. Here are the stats- 9.09 miles in  200:01 for a 13:12 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 246 feet and an average heart rate of 119 bpm at 51 degrees and 81 percent humidity. Long day with Parent/Teacher Conferences. God Bless!

A Good Day

My daughter Rebekah’s Birthday was a good day. We had supper together last night with my three New York daughters and 3 New York grandchildren along with Jace and my wife. Char put together a wonderful meal and a good time. I brought my daughter Kim home after the party. Oh yeah, we also had Bekah’s boyfriend Danny. Today I got around, but as usual the body kind of responds in slow motion. I did the Medford/Randall/Woodlot Loop doing 8.71 in 1:58:45 for a 13:37 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 152 feet and an average heart rate of 120 bpm at 28 degrees and 66 percent humidity.  Blessed to get the work in ! Praise God!

First Real Workout After Time Change

I woke up at my usual time, not feeling the effects of the time change. I know I am effected because everything is slower. Despite my good intentions I just seem to be a bit behind. Praying for a good week.  I did the Medford, Randall, Woodlot Loop doing 8.76 miles in 2:03:45 for a 14:07 minute per mile pace, with an elevation gain of 188 feet and an average heart rate of 114 bpm at a milder 43 degrees and 76 percent humidity. I am glad that I got a set of benches and the fab forty in before I headed out the door. God is great!  Hope your day is blessed!

Rainy Sunday

Today was the day we spring ahead, and truthfully I felt pretty good. I could hear the pitter patter of ice pellets hitting the window before getting out of bed. I was pleased to see that the ground was still bare. I headed to Wertheim after spending time in the Word and with my wife. The rain started to pick up as my hike progressed. I did 7.38 miles in 2:11:48 for a 17:51 minute per mile pace with an elevation gain of 199 feet with an average heart rate of 96 bpm at a temp of 36 degrees and 89 percent humidity. I was behind schedule, but I made it to church with Ericka and Ryleigh. Watching Reckit Ralph now with Char and Ryleigh. God bless !
